Mark Larsen calls Mitt out! (You gotta hear this)

January 30, 2008

If you are not keeping an eye on the Daily Dose, the official Ron Paul blog, you are missing some great stuff and a lot of stuff that you won’t find elsewhere.

One fantastic audio clip they brought to my attention was of Mark Larsen, a Florida radio personality, interviewing Mitt Romney. You must listen to this one. It is about eight minutes long and worth every second. Whatever you do, do not turn it off before the five minute mark. Once you get there you will be hooked for sure.

Basically, Mitt displays an arrogance and disrespect that would make anyone wince - regardless of who you support for president. But the punchline comes when Larsen spends the last three minutes of the clip - after Mitt had to leave suddenly (he was not liking the line of questioning) - calling him out for his behavior and declaring that instead of voting for Mitt, he will cast his vote for Ron Paul.

As a side note, for those of you who struggle with confrontation and so forth, this one is not that bad and definitely worth it. You will be proud when you hear someone else see the light and call it like they see it.

Because I like to share so much of what I find on the net and because I want to give credit where it’s due as often as I can, Daily Dose credits “readers LK and Jeremy” for bringing this to their attention. Please visit the Daily Dose, bookmark it and visit it daily. I have included the audio here but encourage you to check it out on YouTube where you can leave your feedback and rating.

Lastly, please take a moment and thank Mark Larsen for speaking the truth so boldly.

Listen to Ron Paul

January 29, 2008

Just came across this cool new widget that lets Dr. Paul himself share his message with the people.

Listen To Ron Paul

If you are looking for a new widget for your site, consider this one. Even if you aren’t, just go over and listen to Dr. Paul talk about the issues that matter to all of us. The site is simple and easy to navigate. Simply choose the topic you are interested in from a drop-down box and enjoy.

“But Dan,” you say, “why don’t you have one up on your blog?” Good question. You will have to ask the fine folks here at WordPress.com. As much as I love this blog service, there are a few little things that drive me nuts.

Just go read this article

January 28, 2008

ATTENTION: The original article has been taken down, though I have not determined the exact reason yet.  I believe there were a couple of inaccuracies reported.  Regardless, until I have figured out exactly what is going on, I am going to take it down as well.  It looks like Luke Welch is keeping on top of it, though I have not had the time to be sure.  Check out his blog for more info.  I will try to get on top of things when I get a chance.  I have a feeling that Rudy’s money situation was reported wrong, though again, I am not sure yet.

Just wanted to remove the possibly inaccurate post as soon as possible.  Thanks!

What’s Wrong with Fluoride?

January 27, 2008

Back in November I got a notice with my monthly water bill extolling the benefits of fluoride and letting me know that - lucky for me - the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California will be adding fluoride to its treated water supply. How lovely.

Before I walk you through the propaganda notice I received, here is a little video to get you started.

Interestingly, you will find that, while the ADA has only recently started warning against using fluoridated water in baby formula, the ADA is also one of the top resources cited in favor of fluoride use by water districts and government agencies.

This is an important issue and one that most people are either ignorant of or simply do not understand the significance of. Please keep reading. I promise you a good example of the kind of propaganda you might have already received from your water district, some great resources and a few must-see videos that will make you think, should make you mad and will encourage you to take action.

January 26, 2008

The sham known as the Louisiana Caucus is being challenged by Dr. Paul. The irregularities and inconsistencies have demanded it. Read the statement over at the Daily Dose.

New Video just added

January 25, 2008

If you have not checked out my video section lately, or at all, head over there now. I just added the Robert Kane Pappas documentary, Orwell Rolls in His Grave. Here is the description from Google Video:

“Could a media system, controlled by a few global corporations with the ability to overwhelm all competing voices, be able to turn lies into truth?…”

This chilling documentary film examines the relationship between the media, corporate America, and government. In a country where the “top 1% control 90% of the wealth”, the film argues that the media system is nothing but a “subsidiary of corporate America.”

You can read some informative reviews at the filmmakers Web site here.

Like all of the videos I share with you, this one is yet another wake up call. Hear it.

The Government Cannot do the Church’s Job

January 25, 2008

For awhile now I have wanted to write something dealing with the roles of the federal government and the church in a free society. It is apparent, and becoming more so everyday, that the belief that the government should “care” for us from cradle to grave is bankrupting and destroying this country and robbing each of us of our liberty.

Yet still, people get scared when someone like Ron Paul talks about getting the government out of our lives and back in the business of governing. Simply stated, the government should be protecting our God-given rights, not determining them.

So who is to blame for the current state of affairs? While our over-bloated government certainly must share the blame, we would be remiss if we did not point out the recent failure and inadequacy of the Church in the matter.

Government Cannot Do Church’s Job by Chuck Baldwin

As I was preparing to write this article, I found Government Cannot Do Church’s Job by Chuck Baldwin, and realized that I couldn’t say it any better than he has. This is arguably one of the finest short articles I have ever read on the topic. Whatever your views on Christianity and the Church, you should read this article. Replace “church” with “charity” if you must (though you would be seriously mistaken in my opinion), but read this article and begin to wrestle with the fact that the federal government has a particular and limited role in a free society: to protect our life, liberty and property. This being the case, we must look to God, the family, the church and responsible individuals to lead and guide us – though not force us as in a Theocracy - morally, socially, and so forth.

If you are a Christian, this article will open your eyes and encourage you to step it up a notch. If you are not a Christian, you should still recognize that the answer is not a larger government, and you will need to decide exactly what to replace that with in a free society. Personally, I suggest God.

This article is also available in the Articles section of this Web site.

Did Ron Paul win in Louisiana?

January 25, 2008

I wasn’t going to spend much time on this, but it’s becoming more and more clear that something fishy is going on.

Instead of writing up something here, let me direct you to an article over at Truth News. It will catch you up and give you all the details - including the ones that the MSM are not interested in reporting.

Did Ron Paul Win The Louisiana Caucus?

Let me reiterate that, regardless of who you support in this election, what is happening to Ron Paul should scare everyone. Don’t wait until your own candidate - your own liberty - is at stake before you stand up to fight for it. In American, the people are supposed to decide who will lead them, not corrupt political parties or the major news media.

Sixth Fastest Growing Blog on WordPress

January 25, 2008

fastblogsmall.png

I am happy to say that I have made it on to the WordPress Dashboard today as the “sixth fastest growing blog on wordpress.com”. More than anything it’s exciting to see how word-of-mouth and a little networking is making a big difference.

I have yet to advertise this blog except in email signatures and hidden blog comment profiles, but people are finding their way here and bookmarking the blog when they leave and I appreciate it. Please stay tuned, as BTFOG will (hopefully sooner rather than later) become at least two - and possibly three - separate blogs dedicated to Faith, Family and Freedom.

Thanks again and keep reading.
